Do you ever feel that Social Media is a time and money waster?
Well, that may not be far from the truth if you are one of many people who do not have a strategy in place, and/or goals set for why you are using social media.
Social Media doesn’t have to be a time & money waster!
Here are three steps you can take to ensure that the time you spend on social media is beneficial to your business growth.
1. Repurpose your content: Save time by repurposing content you have already created. Modify and reuse past offers; schedule ongoing updates, pulling snippets of valuable information for your audience to use on all your social media platforms. Redirect them back to your website
2. Be sure to show up where your audience hangs out: Research where your audience is hanging out online. They may not be on all social media platforms and you don’t need to be either.
Find and follow the movers and shakers of your industry. Your audience will be part of that community. Listen to what your audience is saying, sharing, retweeting, asking – this will provide you with more tailored content moving forward.
And the most important step you can take to profit from using social media is:
3. Have a lead capture system in place: Much like a website, if you do not have a way to collect the contact details of those who visited your website or blog, it is like leaving money on the table. Be sure to have a call to action in place, and an opt-in with an enticing free offer on the page you are linking to from your social media.
Time and money are both things that I am sure none of us want to waste, so these are great tips to be on track.
